Admission Requirements

  • For IEP or IEP with conditional admission to a WCU Undergraduate program:
    1. A minimum age of 18
    2. High school or secondary school diploma
  • IEP with conditional admission to WCU Graduate program: contact Graduate School Admissions.
  • To be admitted directly to a WCU Undergraduate programs, the English language requirements are iBT: 68 or IELTS: 6.0

Application Process

Follow these simple steps to complete the application process.

Step 1 - Application Form

Complete the IEP ONLINE APPLICATION or aplicación en español  |  中文版 
The online application is formatted for use on mobile phones and tablets.

Step 2 - Personal Statement

Submit your brief personal statement using our online form.

Step 3 - Required Documents

Send these required documents to iep@wcu.edu.

  • Passport OR Permanent Residency Card
  • High School or University Transcripts
  • Financial Guaruntee for at least $26 500 (USD)

step 4 - Application Fee

Pay the $155 application feeOur Admissions Specialist will email payment instructions to you. 

WCU accepts all major credit cards. If you cannot pay with a credit card, please contact us at iep@wcu.edu to make different payment arrangements.

step 5 - VIDEO CHAT APPOINTMENT

Attend your Skype or WeChat appointmentOur Admissions Specialist will email you to schedule this.

step 6 - ID Photograph

Submit your ID photograph using our ONLINE FORM

Your picture should follow these guidelines:

  • JPEG file format
  • Look at the camera (like in a passport photograph)
  • Do not cover your face
  • No hats (traditional headwear is fine)
  • No sunglasses
  • Picture of your head + shoulders is preferred
