Lunch on saturday

After enjoying the Family Weekend Activities, you may wish to grab lunch in the Courtyard Dining Hall before heading to the football game. Lunch vouchers can be purchased for a significant discount at $5 each and are only available for pre-registrants of Family Weekend. Lunch vouchers will not be sold during on-site registration.

*Please note, if your WCU student doesn't have a meal plan, you'll need to purchase a voucher for your student.

football tickets

What is Family Weekend without a football game? Family Weekend guests who attend the football game have two options for seating:

1. You can order tickets for $20 each when you register for Family Weekend. You will need to purchase a ticket for each member of your family who will be attending the game including your WCU student(s), if you would like to have your student sit with you.

2. Alternatively, students automatically have access to a ticket in the Student Section of the stadium and are able to access two guest tickets in the Student Section. Your student will know how to obtain these tickets. Please note that the Student Section is full of...students. This section of the stadium is not necessarily family friendly or appropriate for all audiences.

Participants who pre-register will be guaranteed seats together. Although we will make every reasonable effort to seat families together, on-site registrants cannot be guaranteed seats together.

On the registration form, purchasing tickets will look like this:

Other Activities

Student Talent Show

We are excited to sponsor the 4th Annual Family Weekend Student Talent Show.  If your student can sing, dance, play an instrument or perform any other talent, please encourage him/her to audition for the talent show.  The top three performers will win cash prizes.  Even if your student does not perform, we encourage you to join us for the Family Weekend Student Talent Show on Friday evening at 8 p.m.  The event has free admission, and you will not be disappointed with the talents our students will share.

Family Fun Activities

Saturday will be a busy day for student and their families.  We hope you will start the day off with us between 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  During this time Family Weekend participants can listen to music, enjoy funnel cakes and snow cones, and participate in other family-friendly activities.  These activities require no admission fees.

Campus Recreation Center

Students may bring 2 guests per day to the Campus Recreation Center (CRC).  Guest passes may be purchased in the CRC during office hours.  Guests must sign a liability waiver/assumption of risk form.  All guests must have a photo driver's license or government-issued photo identification with address and proof of age (must be 17 years of age).  You can view the Guest Policy for further information.

Climbing Wall

You can also explore the climbing wall in the Campus Recreation Center from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.  Due to the overwhelming popularity of the climbing wall, the staff will be implementing a waitlist when the wall reaches a max capacity of 25 people.
