Office of the Registrar

Western Carolina University's Registrar's Office maintains student records, oversees the official course catalogue, conducts degree audits, accepts and approves applications for graduation. We individualize the registration and course audit process for students by assigning an academic advisor specific to each student's degree path. Our office's work serves mostly to support advisors and faculty so they might assist students in staying on track toward graduation.

The CatCard is the official Western Carolina University identification card and it provides access to many vital functions on campus.  The CatCard serves as the students’ key to enter their residence hall and the Campus Recreation Center, the pass to attend athletic events at WCU at no charge and allows students, faculty and staff to check books and other materials out of the Hunter Library on campus.

Information regarding a student’s meal plan is also stored electronically and is accessed through the CatCard.
