Western Carolina University will evaluate each undergraduate freshman and transfer
application once your application and other required documents (official transcripts,
scores, etc.) have been received by the Office of Admission.
In addition, there are many important admission, financial aid, and scholarship dates
to be aware of. Here are some of them:
September 1: International student application deadline for Spring Term.
November 1: Transfer and freshman student application deadline for Spring Term.
November 15: Freshman Early Action application deadline for Fall Term. Decisions will be mailed by December 15.
January 1: Priority filing date to submit FAFSA.
January 1: Financial aid deadline to apply for federal loans and need-based grants.
January 1: Regular Action I Freshman application deadline for Fall Term. Decisions will be mailed by February 1.
February 1: Priority consideration deadline for freshman merit-based scholarships.
February 1: Final Freshman application deadline for Fall Term.
April 1: The Financial Aid Office begins mailing award notifications.
April 1: International student application deadline for Fall Term.
April 1: Transfer student summer application deadline.
May 1: Freshman tuition deposit and housing deposit deadline for Fall Term.
June 1: Transfer student application deadline for Fall Term.
July 1: Transfer deposit deadline for Fall Term.
