Online Help Desk
Whether you’re a WCU student, faculty, or staff member, the Online Help Desk offers many different resources to help you with your computer needs.
- Workshops and training
- Software downloads
- Password change information (password criteria and FAQs)
- System sign-ons: how to sign in to various systems on campus.
- Outlook tutorials and FAQs ("Search for a Solution" within IT Self-Service)
- Access to the WCU Wireless Network
- Resources specifically for students, faculty and staff
- Backing up/Storing data: IT is not responsible for the personal data that belongs to faculty, staff or students. IT recommends that students regularly save a backup copy of their data onto disks or thumb-drives or external hard-drives and that faculty and staff regularly save their data on their “share” drive located on the server. More information on data stewardship and responsibility can be found in this web page: http://www.wcu.edu/chancellor/index/UniversityPolicy/Policy97.htm.
